Fairfield Health Department Hosts Two Flu Shot Clinics

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- With cold and flu season upon us, the Fairfield Health Department will host two immunization clinics for adults and children over the age of 5.

The clinics will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at  the Fairfield Senior Center Gymnasium.

The flu vaccine will be available as an injection or for healthy people between the ages of 5 and 49 as a nasal spray. Clinics will also offer the high dose vaccine for seniors. 

Medicare Part B, Connecticare, Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem are all accepted, and there is no co pay. Cash price for the flu vaccine is $25, and $45 for the pneumonia vaccine.

The Fairfield Senior Center is located at 100 Mona Terrace.
