Fairfield, Southport Rank Among CTs Best Places To Live

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield and Southport were both ranked among the best places to live by community analysis website Niche.

Fairfield ranked 21st while Westport came in at no. 23. New Canaan was the highest rated municipality in Fairfield County and placed behind only Simsbury throughout the state.

Niche compiled data across dozens of metrics including Higher Education Rate, Cost of Living Diversity, Crime and Safety, Jobs and Nightlife. The company then distilled these metrics into letter grades.

Fairfield and Southport both received an overall grade of A+ that included top marks for Family Friendliness and Public Schools.
