FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Sick of the traffic on Black Rock Turnpike? Have creative ideas to make it more bike and walker friendly?

Make your voice heard!

The town is using a $375,000 state grant to explore alternatives on the state road and is inviting residents to an informal meeting on the topic at 7 p.m., June 7, in the all-purpose room at Osborn Hill Elementary School, 760 Stilton Road.

The meeting will include a brief introduction of the project and goals followed by small group break-out sessions. The study will focus primarily on the area from Tunxis Hill Cut-Off to Tahmore Drive.

Can’t make the meeting? Want to weigh in now? Offer you thoughts on an online survey available here . Survey results will be shared with others at the meeting.
