Fairfield Wellness Lecture Focuses On Balancing Stress

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center are inviting the public to a wellness lecture on "Balancing Stress: Life & Work."

The free lecture will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1 at the Pfriem Center, 111 Beach Road, 2nd floor. 

The featured speaker is Dr. Mindy Hersh, a clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience. She is currently a training supervisor for the Chinese American Psychoanalytic Alliance.

She will discuss the signs of an unhealthy work-life balance and offer tips on how to set realistic goals, get organized at work, and build in time for leisure.

This lecture is the seventh in an eight-part "Evenings of Wellness Lecture Series" hosted by the chamber and The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center as a service to chamber members and the local community.

Pfriem Breast Care Center to help people live the healthiest lifestyle possible at any age or stage of life," said Beverly Balaz, president of the chamber. "And after the stressful, snowy winter we have all endured, the timing of this particular lecture is perfect. It's a great opportunity for people to come out in better weather to learn about a very important." 

In addition to her training and experience with the adult population, Hersh began treating children and adolescents in 1992 and has had a strong interest in developmental and parenting issues since then. 

She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in 1995.
