Fries Reign Supreme At Fairfield's DVlicious Finalist Super Duper Weenie

FAIRFIELD, Conn. --No burger or sandwich is complete without an order of fries. Whether you like them shoestring skinny, crispy and crinkled or golden brown and fried to perfection, they remain one of America's favorite sides.

Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield piles the fries high along with homemade condiments on its famous franks.

You've chosen five finalists as the DVlicious best in Fairfield County; now it's time to vote. First, though, grab some ketchup and pour over the following. Just don't blame us if you get hungry!

Super Duper Weenie, 306 Black Rock Rd., Fairfield  (203) 334-3647

Fry Type: Shoestring.

What Makes Them So Addictive: With a name like Super Duper Weenie, its hot dogs have got to be awesome, but the hand-cut fries, done in soy oil, take a close second, say regulars. Piled sky-high, the generously seasoned salt-and-pepper fries don’t even need ketchup, but if you do want condiments, Super Duper’s are homemade. The only thing that Super Duper will put on its fries if a customer "wants to go crazy," it says, is chili. No liquid cheese from a can here!

A reminder: Voting ends Tuesday, May 31 at 5 p.m. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
