The coffee shop is located at 150 S. Main St. in Newtown. The exhibition begins at 7 p.m.

“We are excited to be hosting this event," said Café Xpresso owner Marie Schlump, whose roadside coffee house, bakery and sustainable eatery features locally roasted coffee and Arethusa Farms dairy products in the coffee and espresso beverages. “It’s a true art form creating these milk foam designs and balancing flavors for the many innovative espresso drinks we’ve all been enjoying.”

Joining in the fun will be more than 15 baristas, representing popular, as well as new cafés such as NEAT, The Granola Bar, Source Coffee, New Morning Market, Dolce Café, N2 Coffee, and Café Xpresso. Also competing are local latte art hobbyists and coffee lovers.

Primarily judged on creativity for latte art, and balance, flavor and creativity for espresso drinks, participants will be presenting their works of art to local coffee roasters, the media, and food industry professionals. Prizes will be supplied by Saccuzzo Coffee Co. and Willoughby’s Coffee & Tea.

The public is welcome to attend, and Café Xpresso will be serving samples from its from-scratch menu. For more information click here to visit the shop's website.
