The pitch placed them as one of the four finalists in the contest. The trip's highlight will be a stay in the fairy tale Dun's Castle.

"Our spry 92-year-old great-grandma lives in the UK. She is deaf, so we cannot talk on the phone. My daughters write to her often and wish deeply for an opportunity to meet her," Cara Hughes wrote in her entry posted on today.com.

"This trip and setting would be a fairy tale come true for us. My husband came home somberly, just before Christmas, to share that he lost his job. It has been a very difficult time for us ever since that moment. We would be grateful for this special family opportunity that we would not have otherwise," she says.

Go to the "Today" show website to check out all four finalists — in their full fairy tale attire — and to cast your vote. Voting ends Thursday.
