“I like treating patients and seeing the quality of life improve,” said Seewald, who was born in New York but raised in England. “You walk into people’s lives at a unique time.” After receiving her medical degree in London and returning to New York amidst the AIDS epidemic of the 1980's, Seewald felt called to serve, founding a substance abuse clinic in Manhattan's West Village.

Dr. Seewald possesses both real world experience and formal medical training, including board-certification in Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care, Pain Medicine and Addiction Medicine.

Formerly on the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Randy was promoted to Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry. Prior to coming to Regional Hospice she was Chief of Addiction Medicine at Lincoln Hospital, providing inpatient palliative care consultations and outpatient palliative care in the oncology clinic.

Dr. Seewald will be overseeing the hospice care provided by the Center for Comfort Care and Healing, while also directing RHCC’s clinical team as they expand services into New Haven and Lower Fairfield Counties.

She joins RHHC’s existing medical staff of Drs. Robert Kloss, Robert Fitton, and Geeta Geroud, along with the many other clinical and social support members that are vital to quality hospice care.
