Southport Gets Shout-Out In New York Times Real Estate Section

SOUTHPORT, Conn. -- The coastal village of Southport, part of the town of Fairfield, recently received a mention in the New York Times real estate section as an area with its own identity, offering a wide array of historic buildings that reflect the area's affluence during its heyday.

Part of what makes living in Southport wonderful is the waterfront, and much activity revolves around that area, including visits to the beach, cookouts and a family-friendly environment, said the New York Times.

And while many think of the wealthy when they think of Southport with homes selling in the millions, there's also a different side to the enclave that is affordable to families, added the New York Times.
