But those who don’t like to cook, or don’t care to make a fuss over the last Thursday in November, need not fret.
The Daily Voice did the hard work for you and called almost every restaurant in town to let you know what your options are for going out on Nov. 27.
- Artisan at 275 Old Post Road, Southport (inside the Delamar Hotel) will be open on Turkey Day for its regular hours of business - 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 10 p.m. The restaurant features New England-style cuisine and and totes three Zagat.com awards, including best decor and best place to meet for a drink in Connecticut. Parisian chef Frederic Kieffer will be serving a fixed menu; Adults should expect to pay $59 a head and $30 a head for “young adults.”
- Bangalore Restaurant and Bar will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then 5 to 10 p.m. The restaurant at 1342 Kings Highway Cutoff features Indian cuisine in an all-you-can-eat buffet option and also offers a full menu. Buffet prices are $9.95 during the week and the by order menu tops out at $24.95.
- Rio Bravo at 770 Commerce Drive advertises “Tacos and Tequila,” and is reasonably priced with its most expensive dish coming in at $20. The Mexican food establishment may not have Zagat awards like Artisan, but has some sparkling reviews on Yelp.com. Rio Bravo will be open on Nov. 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Not only will T and C Steakhouse be open on Thanksgiving Day, it will also have a special menu. But don’t worry, if you’re a regular, it will still offer its everyday menu as well. The restaurant at 52 Sanford St. will have a turkey dish, butter squash soup and pumpkin pie for dessert. They will be open from 5 to 10 p.m.
