Aquarion Water Offers Free Fishing Permits To Military, Unemployed Adults

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Unemployed adults, active members of the military and military veterans in Fairfield County are eligible for free fishing permits from Aquarion Water Co. in Easton.

From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, and Wednesday, May 6, eligible people can obtain free fishing permits from Aquarion’s Aspetuck Environmental Center at 714 Black Rock Road in Easton.

Applicants must either be 18 years or older with proof of unemployment or have a military ID card or DD Form 214.

Applicants also should bring a valid Connecticut fishing license.

The permits will allow fishing in designated areas at Aquarion’s Saugatuck Reservoir in Weston, the Far Mill Reservoir in Shelton and the West Pequonnock Reservoir in Monroe.
