FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Connecticut Audubon Society Teacher-Naturalists will lead Boy and Girl Scouts on a hike through Larsen Sanctuary Oct. 12, 2013.
The hike will give scouts an opportunity to satisfying badge requirements, journeys, and achievements.
The badges Connecticut Audubon Society will address for boy scouts are Cub Scouts Tiger, “Let’s Go Outdoors,” for Bear, “Sharing Your World with Wildlife,” and Webelos, “Naturalists.” The hike also includes “Bird Study” for Boy Scouts.
Girls Scouts will have a chance to earn “Brownie Bugs” and “Brownie Hiker” as well as for Juniors “Animal Habitats.” These programs also tie into Girl Scouts taking their journeys through, “It’s Your Planet, Love It!” and “It’s Your Story, Tell It!”
