Led by founder and music director, Darren Ziller, the 27-piece orchestra performed Mozart's "Overture to Don Giovanni," Beethoven's "Symphony No. 1," and Mozart's "Flute Concerto in D Major," which featured world renowned flutist Adrianne Greenbaum.

The idea for Ziller to start his own orchestra came earlier this year, where he initially struggled with financing and finding a venue to perform in. After he found a church big enough to host the orchestra, the group prepared for its debut performance.

Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau provided opening remarks. In addition to a successful performance at the packed venue, the event raised over $2,000 for the Emma Jane von Euler Music Scholarship at the High School Scholarship Foundation of Fairfield.
