FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The 2013 Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival raised $268,161 for the Kennedy Center's Artist Cooperative Program.
Martin D. Schwartz, CEO and president of the Kennedy Center, along with the three chairwomen of the event, Kathy Flynn, Dottie Kellersman and Laurie Zollinger, accepted the check at the new Artist Cooperative site.
“We were proud to work with The Kennedy Center and honor them by raising funds to support this new program which is a wonderful addition to the arts community," said festival President Moira Rachel. "We wish them much success and look forward to seeing the Artist Cooperative thrive.”
The recipient of the Festival’s Quilt Raffle proceeds, the National Alliance on Mental Illness Fairfield, raised a total of $5,314.
The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival is accepting applications for the 2015 Festival and Quilt Raffle beneficiaries. All applications are due by Saturday, May 10. For more information, residents can view the Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival website.
