Fairfield Letter: Support Fairfield RTM Candidate Cindy Waldron

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Daily Voice accepts signed letters to the editor. Send letters to fairfield@dailyvoice.com.

To The Editor:

District 4 will Benefit by Having Cindy Waldron as its representative on the RTM. I am writing to support Cindy Waldron for Fairfield’s Representative Town Meeting, District 4. Cindy is a very caring, patient and understanding person. She is a wonderful listener and takes the time to understand the points of view of others. She is able to work in a collaborative way with great results.

Cindy has been so generous with her time; for the past two summers, she has made a substantial commitment of her time to run our church’s week-long vacation church school. She coordinated the development of the curriculum, including everything from sourcing the educational materials for class to planning the fun arts and crafts, cooking projects and games; she even made sure the ice cream truck was there on the last day for our end of school celebration!

Cindy marketed the program to the parents in our congregation, coordinated the assistant teachers and youth group support, and ran the classes.

This past summer we had 22 children who had a wonderful experience. They learned how to appreciate all the beauty and complexity of religious services.

We were thrilled with the positive feedback we received from the kids and parents. I believe that Cindy has the fine qualities that we need on Fairfield’s RTM and I believe the District 4 will benefit by having Cindy Waldron as their representative.
