Fairfield Library Challenges Darien Library To Fitbit Showdown

From Monday, March 2, until the end of the day on Friday, March 6, Darien librarians will compete against Fairfield librarians to see which library can take the most steps.

The Darien Library, 1441 Post Road, recently announced several events in which community members can join the Fitbit challenge.

  • A 10-minute group exercise “recess” will be held every day at 3 p.m. from Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 6, at the library’s Louise Parker Berry community room.
  • On Tuesday, March 3, at 12:45 p.m., a walking book group will be held at Tilley Pond Park. The book discussed will be "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry."
  • On Thursday, March 5, at 3:45 p.m., community members are invited to meet at the Darien Historical Society, 45 Old King’s Highway, for a walking historical tour of the town.
