Guests will include the women of Our Woven Community in Bridgeport, a program of Burroughs Community Center providing an opportunity for creative community integration and economic growth.
African refugee Alliance Asaba will also be on hand to share her life story and her experience of resettlement in the United States.
In addition, representatives of The International Institute of Connecticut will talk about their work providing an array of services for immigrants and refugees.
There will also be an opportunity to shop the unique, hand-made items created by Our Woven Community, including scarves and handbags, designed to symbolize the weaving together of lives, cultures and communities.
All sales will benefit refugee women and the Our Woven Community program.
