“Fairfield United for the Cause” begins at 7 p.m. Donations at the game will be made to the Norma Pfriem Breast Cancer in Fairfield. There will also be a bake sale, and pizza will also be sold. All funds will support the cancer center.
The Falcons (14-2) are trying to secure the No. 2 seed for the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference playoffs. They have ripped off five straight wins after falling to Stamford, 3-2.
Entering Monday's game vs. Greenwich, senior Kiki Cardenas has 115 kills for the Falcons, while senior April Cooke has 90. Junior Alice Nelson leads the team with 120 service points. Caitlin Sprinkle has 96.
Sprinkle had 12 service points and three aces in a 3-0 win over Greenwich on Monday. Cooke added10 kills and six blocks.
Andrea Alvarez and Liz Buckley are the senior captains along with Cardenas. Other members of the team are Olivia Auray, Isabelle Andrews, Gillian Quinn, Alex McKinnon, Erin Rosengren, Olivia Albenze, Kylie McCaffery and Julia Wilson.
Ludlowe has won 39 games over the final two seasons. Coached by Meghan Skelton, the Falcons reached the semifinals of the Class LL tournament last year before losing to eventual champion Cheshire.
