FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Families from Fairfield and the area are invited to the Fairfield Museum for an April Fools night out. This first-time event, set for Friday, April 1, from 6-8 p.m., will feature entertainment, crafts and kid-friendly cuisine.
Guests will get an exclusive sneak preview of the newest exhibition, “Fabulous Animals: The Illustrated World of Robert Lawson.” Lawson’s work includes illustrations for "The Story of Ferdinand," "Rabbit Hill" and "Mr. Popper’s Penguins." The night will include a wandering magician. Storytelling, crafts, food and music will be part of the fun, as children create masks and listen to stories about animals.
If there’s a performer in the family, he or she can pick a joke from a mixed bag, perform some stand-up comedy and make people laugh at a joke telling open mic. The evening will conclude with a treat from Shake Shack’s custard booth. Tickets are on sale now at eventbrite or the museum's website or by calling 203-259-1598.
Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for children and $40 for a family of four.
