FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Police are once again collecting toys for sick children this holiday season.

The Fairfield Police Benevolent Association started its annual holiday toy drive earlier this month. Residents are encouraged to bring in new, unwrapped toys to one of three collection spots around Fairfield. All toys collected will go to patients at the Bridgeport Hospital children’s wing.

Donation boxes are at the Fairfield Police Station (100 Reef Road), the Eunice Postol Recreation Center (75 Mill Plain Road) and the Town Clerk’s Office in Old Town Hall (611 Old Post Road). Officers will also collect toys at the PBA Toy Drive Road race on Dec. 16. The race begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Scandinavian Club on South Pine Creek Road.
