The public is welcome to come celebrate this national event that reminds communities of their local library's great services and programs. Pequot Library will have arts and crafts stations, story hours, block building hours, and a free Music for Youth concert.
The event is free, open to the public and for children of all ages. Kids can also get their first library card and have their pictures taken for the library's board.
The celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Pequot Library is located at 720 Pequot Ave., in Southport. For more information, call 203-259-0346, ext. 16, or check out the library's website.
