FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield's own Robert and Barbara Scinto will chair the 49th annual Four Seasons Ball later this month.
The ball, which benefits The Kennedy Center Residential Services, will honor the the DiMatteo Family, according to a notice from the Kennedy Center. The ceremony gets under way at 7 p.m. for social hour and 8 p.m. for dinner and dancing on Oct. 19 at the Patterson Club in Fairfield, according to the notice.
"Members of the family will be presented this year's Tribute Journal during the event for the generosity they have shown not only to the community but to The Kennedy Center Residential Services," representatives said in the notice. "It promises to be a wonderful evening with fabulous fare, music provided by Veronica Martell Entertainment, featuring Jay Stollman and dancing until midnight."
The event is sponsored by R.D. Scinto, Inc., GE Capital, DiMatteo Group, People's United Bank, Carla & Peter Gavey, Goodnow Investment Group and the William & Gloria Paul Family Foundation. The first Four Seasons Ball started in 1964 "to raise funds for a down payment for the first group home for women with intellectual disabilities in Connecticut, and for the repair and improvement of Faust Hall, the first Connecticut group home for men," according to the notice.
