Bullying has become pervasive recently in many facets of society, including professional and college sports. Martin will be sharing his insights on the issue on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m.

Martin has displayed leadership and goodwill both on and off the football field. From Sept. 16, 2007, to June 21, 2008, Martin walked 3,003 miles from New York City to San Diego to raise money for “A Journey for 9/11,” the charitable organization he founded in support of the early responders who later developed illnesses from their service after the terror attacks in New York.
As a football player he missed only six games in 14 years and holds the NFL record for the most touchdowns scored by a defensive lineman.
Robert L. Dilenschneider, founder and president of The Dilenschneider Group, conceived the idea for the "Civility in America" series.
“Incivility has become socially acceptable and commonplace. The lack of civility in every segment of society, from politics to academia, from the media to the blogosphere, from talk radio to the pulpit, has become a crippling epidemic that threatens the future of our country," Dilenschneider said in a statement.
