Greenwich's Joan Lunden Details Cancer Battle In People Interview

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich's Joan Lunden, the former longtime host of "Good Morning America," will grace the cover of the new People magazine without a wig as she tells of her battle with cancer.

Lunden, 64, was diagnosed in June with triple negative breast cancer and decided to go public with her fight.

"I had to make this big decision about whether or not to do the cover with no hair. It certainly isn't the comfortable way to go, but I decided I was going to try and help others and show women that this isn't the end of the world," Lunden said at People.com. "You can go on – and that was hugely empowering."
