Light Snow Hits Fairfield Overnight, With More On The Way

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Schools are closed Thursday, March 5, and the main roads in Fairfield remained a bit messy this morning after an overnight snowfall.

And a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Southern Fairfield County until 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The area is expected to see snowfall throughout the day that could accumulate up to 6 inches in Fairfield.

The wintry-mix that fell overnight has made conditions a mess on the roads on Thursday morning. Post Road was partially plowed, but driving conditions continued to be less than ideal.
