The Vanderblue Team, part of The Higgins Group real estate company, was recently named one of America's top real estate professional teams by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and Real Trends.

According to Marti Gallardo, vice president of classified advertising for WSJ, the Vanderblue Team's efforts topped 99.99 percent of the more than one million real estate agents nationwide.

Julie Vanderblue, president of The Higgins Group and CEO of the Vanderblue Team says that much of the team's success comes from its members' shared values, beliefs and goals. "Although we've certainly earned "bragging rights" for our market share," she says, "We prefer to focus on our clients' needs and not on the number of houses we've sold."

Julie believes that educating clients is crucial. "We always put our clients' best interests first," she says. Selling or buying a home is often the largest financial transaction people make, and Julie worries that people can be misled by numbers and statistics. "I want consumers to know that statistics can be skewed," she says. "Talk to more than one agent and ask questions" before signing an agreement."
