FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Pequot Library launched a new outreach program to local schools on Dec. 11 and Dec. 12.
More than 150 third- and fourth-grade students from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Riverfield Public School explored the “Pages from Pequot: Native Americans” exhibition of very old and rare books.
Interactive activities included discussions on primary sources, exploration of eighteenth and nineteenth century books and materials, a historic building tour, a book reading and a creative craft.
Schools are reserving their free school field trips now for 2015. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
