Santa Arrives In Style As Rowayton Lights Up For The Holidays

NORWALK, Conn. – The Rowayton Civic Association kicked off the holiday season by lighting up the village with 23,000 lights and welcoming Santa Claus to brighten the annual festivities.

The official lighting ceremony occurred early Sunday evening in downtown Rowayton and Pinkney Park. 

The Rowayton Academy Group and the Brien McMahon High School Carolers entertained the crowd with Christmas songs.

Santa arrived at Pinkney Park in a firetruck to light up the town just after dark. 

The event in Rowayton was among many held in Fairfield County towns and cities over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, with more scheduled to follow in the coming weeks as part of the celebration of the Christmas holidays.
