This summer, Camp Aspetuck offers girls an action-packed summer filled with a number of sports and games, while providing all of the fun, traditional activities that summer camp has to offer.

Camp Aspetuck gives girls the opportunity to experience all of the excitement of traditional camp experiences with other mega-fun activities. The summer camp is run by a core group of exciting, entertaining leaders, and their programming reflects interesting and fun themes.

With the use of its field space, Camp Aspetuck provides girls with the program, “Mega Sports and Games!” Girls will be able to play different types of classic sports and new games with the combination of cooperative and competitive activities. These activities teach girls about group dynamics, game strategies, and team work. This program is for girls entering four through sixth grades.

The camp also offers free bus services in the following towns: Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford, Weston, Westport, West Redding and Wilton. Girls can also be dropped off at camp.

Operated by Girl Scouts of Connecticut, Camp Aspetuck is licensed by the State of Connecticut and accredited by the American Camping Association, which shows a commitment to offering high quality programs, meeting safety standards, and following the best business practices.

Summer camp helps boost girls’ self-esteem and confidence, thus improving their social skills and establishing a greater sense of independence. During their summer at Camp Aspetuck, girls can develop leadership qualities, learn outdoor skills, and swim in its pools. Younger girls begin by leading songs and playing games. Girls in grades 9 through 12 can participate in a number of leadership programs.

At Camp Aspetuck, each member of the summer camp staff has been screened and chosen for their skills and experience. All staff receives more than 30 hours of training in child development, teambuilding, safety, and risk management.

All girls in grades K-12 are welcome at Camp Aspetuck, which offers bus services from many local towns. Girls do not need to be previous members of Girl Scouts to attend. To learn more about Camp Aspetuck, visit www.gsofct.org
