FAIRFIELD, Conn. More than $2,000 worth of power tools were reported stolen from a Fairfield home last week. The equipment was left unattended in an open-air garage on Sasco River Lane, police say.
A local contractor told police Monday he had left the tools inside the garage, which does not have a closing door, while doing work on the house Thursday. The next day, nine items were missing from the location.
The contractor reported the following items missing: two routers, valued at $550 each; four router bits, worth $40 each; a jig saw worth $350; a concrete gun valued at $500; and a screw gun worth an estimated $100.
Fairfield Police advise residents to make sure valuables are stored in a locked space. Anyone with information on this or any other thefts should contact the Fairfield Police at 203-254-4800.
