FAIRFIELD, Conn. – An estimated 43 percent of United Illuminating Co. customers in Fairfield were still without power Friday morning, down from 56 percent Thursday morning.
Utility officials estimate 9,598 of the 21,876 customers served in Fairfield are without power as of 5 a.m. Friday, according to outage maps. UI expects 95 percent of customers to have power by midnight Monday, said CEO James Torgerson.
More than 73,000 customers out of 320,150 total customers served by UI are out of power across Connecticut as of 5 a.m. Friday, down from more than 109,000 customers Thursday morning.
