FAIRFIELD, Conn. – An estimated 54 percent of United Illuminating Co. customers in Fairfield were still without power Thursday morning, down from 70 percent Wednesday morning.
Utility officials estimate 11,976 of the 21,876 customers served in Fairfield were without power as of 5 a.m. Thursday, according to outage maps. A total of 95 percent of the town's customers should be restored by Monday, officials said Thursday morning.
More than 107,000 customers out of 320,150 total customers served by UI were out of power as of 5 a.m. Thursday, down from more than 134,000 customers Wednesday morning.
