Accidents On Merritt Parkway In Stamford, Greenwich Slow Morning Commute

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Snow and slippery travel conditions greeted Fairfield County commuters for Friday's morning rush hour.

Traveling conditions were slippery Friday on Interstate 95 in Fairfield County.

An accident on the Southbound Merritt Parkway at North Street in Greenwich occurred at 7:46 a.m. An accident occurred near the same time on the Southbound Merritt at Exit 35 in Stamford.

Traffic was slow moving in both directions on Interstate 95 as well, although there were no accidents as of 8 a.m.

Snow was expected to taper off by mid-morning. Travel conditions are not expected to be hazardous for the evening commute.
