SOUTHPORT, Conn. - After 60 years, the Columbus Letter is returning to the Pequot Library following it's loan to Yale University.
During a special viewing Saturday Dec. 5, the public will be able to take part in a unique viewing of the letter written in 1493 by Christopher Columbus.
George Miles, from Yale University, will show the letter and speak about its importance.
The viewing is a part of the "Pages from Pequot" Special Collections exhibition, Exploring America: Christopher Columbus. The letter is the Epistola de insulis nuper inventis , from April 29, 1493.
