DARIEN, Conn. -- The Tiny Miracles Foundation recently had a fundraiser to support programs and services helping premature babies and their families throughout Fairfield County.
The Sept. 29 event at The Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport was attended by more than 450 people.
Guests enjoyed private access to the zoo and viewing of all the animal exhibits, carousel rides, face painting and crafts. Dinner was available by purchase at the specialty food trucks that were brought in for this event. Food trucks included MeltMobile, Vanchetta, Chez Lenard of Ridgefield and Mister Softee of CT.
The Tiny Miracles Foundation is a volunteer-based non-profit organization. It was founded in 2004 by two local mothers of severely premature twins to offer support to families in the greater Fairfield County area facing the issues of premature births. It also helps local neonatal intensive care units to provide care for premature patients and their families.
Today, it assists more than 1,200 local families per year throughout Fairfield County through programs at our four partner hospitals in Stamford, Norwalk, Bridgeport and Danbury.
