A Dense Fog Advisory will remain in place from late Sunday through the Monday morning commute until 10 a.m. Monday, the weather service said.

The dense fog will lower visibility to a quarter mile or less. It will create hazardous travel conditions. Drivers are cautioned to slow down, use low beams and leave plenty of distance ahead if a sudden stop is needed.

Rain and drizzle was expected to continue overnight as temperatures rose into the mid-40s overnight. Monday will be rainy again, with a chance of snow as temperatures fall back into the 30s. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

The deep freeze returns Monday night as temperatures plunge into the single digits with a wind chill as low as -7. It will be breezy, with a west wind 16 to 21 mph, and gusts as high as 31 mph.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 14 and wind chills as low as -11 with winds of 22 mph and gusts as high as 33 mph. Overnight lows will go down to 4 degrees.
