Disabled Truck Blocks Lane, Slows Traffic On I-95 In Fairfield

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A disabled truck is blocking two lanes of I-95 southbound on Friday morning in Fairfield, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported. 

The disabled truck is on southbound I-95 at Brentwood Avenue.

The disabled tractor-trailer is between Exits 25 and 24 in Fairfield. The right and center lanes are closed, but DOT is working to move the truck to the shoulder. 

Traffic is backed up to Exit 28 for East Main Street in Bridgeport.

The incident was reported Friday, Sept. 4, at 8:50 a.m.

It was not clear how long it would take to clear the highway, DOT said.
