FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- CT Rises is sponsoring a volunteer team from World Renew to conduct a disaster-related needs assessment in Stamford and Fairfield for residents that still have unresolved damage from Hurricane Sandy.
CT Rises will have temporary walk-in centers at the following times and locations:
- First Congregational Church, located at 1 Walton Place in Stamford. The center will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. as well as Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center will be open in Stamford from Tuesday, March 18, through Saturday, March 22.
- The Fairfield Senior Center will have another Sandy Walk-in Center from Tuesday, March 25, through Saturday, March 29. The Senior Center is located at 100 Mona Terrace and will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. as well as Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
CT Rises can be reached via 2-1-1, the toll-free information referral service operated by United Way of Connecticut. Operators will connect callers with a caseworker to assist in navigating available recovery resources, including those offered by CT Rises.
