Extreme Heat, Severe Storms Are Headed To Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Hot and humid conditions may bring severe thunderstorms to Fairfield County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and thunderstorms could move through the area between 9 a.m. and noon on Tuesday and again in the afternoon, with a stronger likelihood in the afternoon. Expect temperatures to be around 88 degrees, but humidity could have an impact making the "real feel" temperature as high as 102. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 85. 

Clouds will increase on Thursday with cooler temperatures. Highs will be around 75 degrees. 

Showers could return on Friday with a high of 69.
