FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Three days after Hurricane Sandy knocked power out to most of Fairfield, residents still in the dark are getting frustrated - and they're speaking out on The Fairfield Daily Voice's Facebook page.

Readers reacted to United Illuminating's announcement Thursday that almost everyone will have their power restored by Monday night.

"Oh gosh. Plz.not that long. Young kids and cold ..not a good combo," Facebook user Leslie Correa Kimsey wrote.

"Is there anyway to see which neighborhoods will be worked on next? 3 babies on street and many young children. Grateful to have a home, just wondering if we should pack up," Lisa Jakubowsky-Tennaro wrote.

United Illuminated had not given estimates for specific neighborhoods as of Thursday.

"Monday is a long way away!!!!," Lisa Perrone Johnson wrote, and reader Kim Porter added, "Yeah it is (especially) when it's this cold."
