FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Life is beginning to return to normal in Fairfield after a powerful nor'easter slammed the shoreline late Sunday.

As of noon Tuesday, there were still pockets of power outages around town. United Illuminating reported 98 customers without power in 16 different locations in town.

One of the spots in Fairfield that needed cleanup was Old Spring Road, where a massive tree fell across the road, damaged a fence and spread debris around the area.
