Throngs of people marched Saturday, a day after Donald Trump was inaugurated as the nation's 45th president. The event in New York City was one of hundreds across the nation and the world, with over a half-million people gathered at the main event, the Women's March on Washington.

Participants say they are deeply worried about the Trump administration and its impact on women's rights and civil liberties.

Marches were held throughout the nation, including in Stamford, Hartford, White Plains and Boston.
