Robert Joseph Parker, 52, was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven.

Between 1996 and 2012, Parker did not pay any federal taxes on $2 million of income he received in his name and his entity Success Zone, according to court records.

Parker pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion in March.

As part of his sentence, Parker must pay nearly $1.9 million in taxes, interest, and penalties.

Once released from federal custody, he will also face three years of supervised probation.
