It will be easily identified by the town’s 375th anniversary logo on the side. This is a joint project of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), American Legion Post 143, and the town of Fairfield.

Flags may be deposited in the mailbox where there will be a weekly pick-up by DAR members who will deliver the flags to Lt. Owen Fish Memorial Post 143 on Stratfield Road.

The proper way to dispose of faded, torn and shabby flags is through burning, and Post 143 performs this service for the community. Dropping off your tired flag at Old Town Hall honors it with an appropriate demise.

Old Town Hall is located at 611 Old Post Road, Fairfield. Its hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
