FAIRFIELD, Conn. Do you have experience managing roof renovations? Do you want to help the town spend its money wisely? Then Fairfield is looking for your help. The First Selectmans Office has put out a call for volunteers to join the Fairfield Warde High School Roof Building Committee.
Fairfields government approved an $11 million project in February to replace the high schools leaking roof. To get reimbursed by the state for some of the costs, the town must set up a building committee to oversee the project.
The town plans to replace Fairfield Wardes roof over the next four summers, so volunteers would be expected to make a multiyear commitment. The First Selectmans Office is especially looking for people with experience in construction, architecture, engineering or finance, but anyone is welcome to submit a resume for consideration.
Those interested in joining the committee should send resumes to the First Selectmans Office via e-mail at email@example.com or via mail at 725 Old Post Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. For more information, call 203-256-3030.
