“After an extensive search, the town is very pleased to welcome Mr. Kelley as Fairfield’s IT Director," Tetreau said. "Mr. Kelley’s hands on experience designing, building, and evolving the IT, voice, and video infrastructures of a mid-size multi-campus university will serve our Town well. He brings a strong passion and broad knowledge of an array of technologies and is adept at operating in an environment with shared limited resources.”
Kelley had previously served as the University of Hartford’s Director of Information Technology Services, which involved evaluating and implementing technologies that supported the university’s educational and administrative needs. As Director of Information Technology Services, he directed and worked with staff to maintain the server, network, voice and cable television infrastructures, and provide customer support for all data, wireless, voice, video, and mobile technologies.
“I am honored to have been selected for the position of Director of Information Technology for the Town of Fairfield. I met many town employees during the hiring process, all of whom demonstrated an enthusiasm for the Town and service to its residents, and I just knew that this was the right place to be," Kelley said.
"I look forward to working with my staff and the Town’s departments to identify and provide appropriate technologies, software, and services to improve efficiency and help the Town provide excellent service to the community.”
He graduated from the University of Hartford with a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Computer Science. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and holds a FEMA National Incident Management System certificate.
Kelley has been a member of the Academic Strategic Technology Policy Committee and the Northeast Executive Advisory Group and an alternate on the University Situation (Crisis) Management Team.
