Golf Clubs Taken From Fairfield Garage

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A $1,000 set of golf clubs was reported stolen from a Fairfield home Wednesday afternoon. A Stoneleigh Road resident told police that he saw a man enter his open garage and walk away with the clubs.

The homeowner said the man was white, in his 30s or 40s, with a goatee and wearing a cap. The thief took a set of Ben Hogan irons in a white golf bag and walked away toward Church Hill Road. Police were not able to find the suspect after receiving word of the burglary. Anyone who can help identify the man should contact the Fairfield Police at 203-254-4800.

? A Cascade Drive resident told police that a pair of shoes were stolen from a package sitting on her front doorstep Wednesday afternoon. The package was delivered by UPS at about 1:30 p.m., and by 2 p.m. the resident found the bag opened. A pair of black women’s shoes valued at $30 were missing, but several T-shirts were left behind.

? A wallet and a digital recorder were reported missing from a pair of unlocked cars on Beaumont Street Monday night. The cars’ owner told police the vehicles were parked in the home’s driveway overnight. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $100.
