Walker, a resident of Bridgeport, is a CPA with over 40 years of leadership experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. He received appointments from Presidents Reagan, Bush and Clinton with unanimous confirmation by the U.S. Senate on all three occasions.

He served as U.S. comptroller general, and most recently, Walker was the first Senior Strategic Advisor for PwC Public Sector.

The meeting will be 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn, 1070 Main St.

A Republican, he formed an Exploratory Committee for the office of Governor of Connecticut in April.
