It was a big week for seniors as many high schools across Fairfield County held commencement exercises, including: 

Brian Williams of New Canaan was demoted from his job as anchor of "NBC Nightly News." He will take over breaking news coverage for MSNBC. In an interview on "Today," he owned up to his lies.

Michael DeMaio was sentenced to eight years in prison for attacking his wife with a baseball bat in their Greenwich mansion. 

Love video games? You will soon be able to play the newest console and PC games with other fans at Game Haven, a modern-day arcade in Norwalk.

Officers with the Bridgeport Police Department's Marine Unit pulled the body of a man from the waters of Bridgeport Harbor. They did not suspect foul play and investigated rumors that a passenger had fallen from the Port Jefferson ferry. 

Bridgeport native Alyssa Naeher, 27. and the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team have advanced to the Round of 16 after winning Group D in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is taking place in Canada. The team's next game is Monday. 

A Danbury teenager was arrested on the last day of school and charged with trying to start a food fight

Fairfield University pitcher Mike Wallace, a 6-foot-5 right-hander, agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wallace, who was selected in the 30th round of the Major League Draft, will forego his senior season with the Stags.
