FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County's first heat wave will reach its peak on Tuesday before cooling off quickly on Wednesday.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures of about 90 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms could roll through the area in the afternoon.
Wednesday will remain sunny but much cooler, with temperatures much closer to the seasonal norm. Expect high temperatures to be in the mid-60s.
Thursday will remain sunny and in the mid-60s before clouds move into the area on Friday and throughout the weekend.
